A studio built on kindness
Kindred Movement started with a simple idea: dance should feel joyful, not scary. Our studio is a space where beginners feel brave and experienced dancers feel at home.
We believe movement is for everyone. Our teachers meet you where you are. Classes are capped at 12 people, so your teacher learns your name from the first session.
Whether you're here for fitness, creativity, or just a break from the week — you're welcome.
Meet the Instructors
Maya Chen
Studio Founder & Contemporary
Maya has taught dance for twelve years across community studios and schools. She founded Kindred Movement to create the studio she wished she’d found as a nervous beginner.
Ade Okafor
Hip-Hop & Street Styles
Ade brings ten years of performance and teaching experience. His classes are high-energy but always welcoming. First-timers are his favourite people to teach.
Priya Sharma
Ballet & Creative Movement
Priya trained in classical ballet and now specialises in making technique feel accessible. She runs our kids’ creative movement sessions with warmth and patience.
What our community says
“I hadn’t danced since school and was so nervous walking in. Maya made me feel like I belonged from the first class.”
“My daughter asks to go to dance every single week. She’s never been that excited about any activity before.”
“The vibe is completely different from other studios. Nobody cares if you mess up. Everyone’s just there to enjoy it.”
